A cyc that changes color on command

Two 18-foot cyc walls, pre-lit with full RGB cyc lights. Dial in a clean white, a chroma key, or a gradient from the iPad and keep your crew on the floor instead of on ladders.

  • Two-wall hard cyc, 18′ tall
  • Full RGB cyc lights, pre-rigged
  • Wireless DMX over CRMX (LumenRadio)
  • Controlled from the Blackout iPad app

Walk in to a pre-rigged stage

The grid trims at 18 feet and comes pre-rigged, so day one starts with blocking, not with a pre-light. Bring your own fixtures or upgrade to the full lighting package and use ours.

  • 1-ton grip package included with every stage day
  • Upgrade to a 2-ton grip package plus full lighting package
  • Storage on site for flats, furniture, and set pieces between days

Unload straight onto the stage

A 14-foot industrial overhead door opens straight onto the floor. Back the truck up to it and unload directly onto the stage, roll set pieces through without a ramp or dock, or bring a picture car onto the floor.

  • 14′ overhead door, stage-level load-in
  • Wardrobe and makeup room with a live video feed from the stage
  • Full kitchen and green room, two restrooms, production office

Quick answers

The questions producers ask first. Anything else, call or send the form.

How big is the stage?

The stage is 60 by 40 feet with a two-wall hard cyclorama 18 feet tall. The lighting grid trims at 18 feet.

What is included in the stage day rate?

The $1,500 day rate includes the 60 by 40 stage, the pre-rigged grid with full RGB cyc lights on wireless CRMX control, a 1-ton grip package, stage-level load-in, parking, and the support rooms: wardrobe and makeup, kitchen and green room, two restrooms, and storage. The $2,500 day rate adds a 2-ton grip package and a full lighting package.

How long is a shoot day?

A shoot day is 10 shooting hours plus one hour to load in and one hour to load out, 12 hours total. Time past 12 hours bills as overtime.

Can we load equipment directly onto the stage?

Yes. A 14-foot industrial overhead door opens at stage level, so trucks unload directly onto the floor and a picture car can be driven on.

What insurance does the studio require?

Commercial general liability of at least $2,000,000 aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence naming Salt Lake Film Studio as additional insured, property coverage of at least $1,000,000 for studio equipment in your care, and workers compensation of at least $1,000,000. The certificate is due before load-in. Coverage can be purchased through the studio’s venue liability partner.

Are the production offices available with the stage?

Yes. Book the stage on its own, or take the full buyout and use the production offices, conference room, wardrobe and props rooms, and kitchen under the same roof.

Also under this roof

Production offices, a hallway away

Nine private offices, a conference room, wardrobe and props rooms, and a full kitchen share the roof with the stage. Book them on their own or take the full buyout.
